A lot was happening in La Jara this past week with the Farmers Market, the yard sale to help purchase new Christmas lights for the town and the La Jara annual Glory Days celebration! Our market went very well and we were thankful to the Glory Days organizers for helping us acquire a stage and helping with set-up. At this market some of our vendors included Sylvia Montaño serving her delicious hand-dipped ice cream bars, Julie Ruybal with fresh peaches from the Delta area, and White Mountain Farms and Ana Navarro and their organic produce.
Also at this past market, the Antonito Saturday Night Choir performed beautifully with their amazing harmonies and wonderful flute and guitar playing. Expect another great performance from Jim Hargove this coming market on Friday the 12th of August. Our other scheduled performers include Patsy Gomez and Paul Arellano on the 19th of August, Los Cancioneros De Valle on the 26th of August, and Sage Larsen and Atomic Pork closing the market on the 2nd of September.
