This last week’s market went very well. The sun was shining, the wind didn’t blow and it seemed that everyone enjoyed the market. Jim Hargove’s performance was excellent and we were so happy to have him there. We had a few more vendors show up this week, such as Kelly West and her delicious Heaven Scent Breads, the Kunugi siblings from Southern Colorado Farms, and Faye DelosSantos with her handmade salves and jewelry. June McDaniel was back this week with her beautiful artwork and Rachel Skiles brought some of her hand-sewn aprons and other kitchen essentials. Susan Schreiner was there again with her garden produce and fresh-picked bouquets. We were happy to have Raymond Gingerich’s family selling tomatoes grown in Romeo. The MOKI kitchen cooked up some more delicious snacks with an amazing stir-fry. Next week Michele Valdez will be cooking another delicious snack that anyone can try from the MOKI Kitchen for free.
This week, we will be having a surprise appearance from the band Lowdead. Also expect a great performance from Patsy Gomez and Paul Arellano. Los Cancioneros Del Valle will perform on the 26th of August, and Sage Larsen and Atomic Pork close the market on the 2nd of September.
Congratulations to Adrianna Cordova who sold baked goods at our last two markets to raise money for Fiesta Queen at the St. Joseph’s Parish. We are happy to announce that she won and was crowned fiesta queen this Saturday! Anyone interested in doing a fundraiser for a cause is welcome and encouraged to attend our market to raise funds.
